Down Payment Assistance

 

TSAHC provides low, fixed-rate home mortgage loans to help Teachers purchase a home. TSAHC provides teachers with a texas grant up to 5% to pay the down payment and/or closing costs. 

 

  • A 30-year fixed interest rate mortgage loan

  • Does not have to be re-paid ever

  • You do not need to be a first-time homebuyer

  • You do not need to live in the home for any set period of time

  • House can be located anywhere in Texas

Who Qualifies?

 

Through the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) provides home buyer assistance specifically for First-time Buyers, Teachers, Police Officers, Correctional Officers, Fire Fighters, EMS personnel, and veterans meeting certain income requirements.

 

Basic Requirements

 

To qualify home owner must have:

 

  •   Minimum FICO score of 640 or greater

  •   Currently Employed in the Industry

  •   Current Pay Check Stubs

  •   2 year tax returns

  •   Bank Statments

  •   State / Government Issued I.D.

  •   DTI Requirements

 

You must work with a Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation (TSAHC) approved Lender to take advantage of the Down Payment programs. We recommend the lenders, call us for a list.
